Start with the code in the car’s details

  1. Use the relevant Owner’s Manual to display Car Details. Tesla’s collision-repair reference says the vehicle paint code is available there.
  2. If checking a physical label, keep Tesla’s qualification in mind: the paint code may also be printed on a label attached to the vehicle.
  3. Compare that identifier with the vehicle-paint table. For example, Solid Black is PBSB; a general description such as black is less specific.

The Vehicle and Wheel Paint Codes reference keeps wheel finishes in separate tables. Follow the vehicle row for body paint; the page does not turn a wheel’s colour name into a body-paint identifier.
