What does a supplier’s three-stage label tell you?
Custom Paints marks Papaya Spark 3965 and Volcano Yellow 2414 as three-stage products. Its listing says these purchases include a base colour and mid coat. That describes the supplier’s product system; it does not establish McLaren’s factory paint process.
The same supplier page mentions a flat finish before clear coat. That intermediate condition is not evidence that the finished car has matte body paint. Keep the product instructions separate from the car’s final finish.
