Royale names a series across three V6 models
Maserati’s January 2020 Royale announcement covers the Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante with V6 engines. It offers Blu Royale and Verde Royale for that series. The model and engine scope belong beside the colour name when identifying one of these cars.
The manufacturer’s announcement also recalls the 1986 Quattroporte Royale. That historical link is not evidence that a 2020 paint repeats the older car’s formula, or that the series specification applies to every Maserati wearing blue.
