Genesis color names can hide important distinctions: Makalu Gray has separate glossy and matte references, while Vik Black belongs to the body rather than the cabin. This selection also follows a dated Electrified GV70 equipment note and the Bering Blue Prestige Graphite announcement.

Does Makalu Gray identify the finish?
The name alone leaves a choice in Genesis’ Australian Electrified GV70 brochure. Its exterior palette places two Makalu references in different finish groups:
- Makalu Gray matte — MPE, in the matte row.
- Makalu Gray — NCM, in the glossy row.
Keep the finish label with the identifier when reading the brochure’s exterior-colour spread. The page cautions that overseas models are shown and Australian specifications may vary; it is a documented palette example, not confirmation for every vehicle.
